Join our wacky animal crew for the flight of a lifetime From the airport terminal to the flight deck, the zippy text and zappy art take children through how a plane flies, safety rules, in-flight entertainment and air traffic control. This action-packed picture book will delight all children who love things that go.

For some children taking their first flight can be an overwhelming experience. They may be fascinated by the airplane from afar but, as with any new experience, a child may be anxious about actually boarding the plane. This book, featuring a group of animals as passengers, can help ease the fear and show preschoolers that flying can be fun. Through an entertaining rhyming narrative and playful illustrations, children will love watching the animals check in at the airport, board the plane, settle in for the flight and arrive at their destination.

If you're planning to take a flight with your child soon, this is a great book to introduce them to airports and airplanes. Kids will love the musical sound of the rhymes and fall head-over-heels for the adorable animals. A diagram at the end of the story explains some basic mechanics of the plane, like the wing and jet engine.

As an adult who took awhile to adjust to air travel, I could have definitely used this book as a child. I was very afraid of airplanes but the way that this book shows that planes are a safe and convenient way to travel could have greatly diminished those fears. Emily, the three-year-old that I babysit, doesn't have any qualms about air travel but she absolutely loves cats and a feline happens to be the flight attendant in the story. Whenever the cat was featured on a page, she would excitedly tell me what it was doing.

This book is great, it has really nice artwork and is bright and colorful. My son Brandon is always going back to it to have me read it again. I love that it's a pretty simple story but that they describe so many things that are on the plane or that the plane does. It would also be a great book if you were taking your kids on their first flight!
