Bright, colorful and educational, these chunky board books introduce young childrend to concepts that will stay with them for life. And with sturdy pages and a high-gloss finish, the books will last almost as long - even in the most inquisitive hands

This book is full of bright, rich images that tell a story of how each member of the bear family spends their time.  The colors alone will captivate your child's attention.  Active pages portray each bear doing their favorite task along with a gentle rhyming text that sets the tone for learning about this special family.  Grandma bear bakes the bread, daddy bear grows flowers in the garden, mommy bear sews a beautiful yellow dress, and at the end they are all portrayed together sharing what each bear has created at a family gathering.

Your child will love each and every page because of the vibrant illustrations.  Curiosity about what the bears are doing will remind them of what different members of their own family do, and they will be able to compare the bears to important people in their own lives; whether it be grandma, grandpa, or a cousin.  This will help your child to understand the different relationships within a family.  This relationship connection can be made even stronger by looking at the beautifully illustrated family tree on the last page of the book.

When I read this book to Lucca, he was most captivated by the images.   The vibrant colors brought his attention towards the individual bears and he loved to hear about what each bear was doing.  He enjoyed talking about the people in his own family and the different things that they like to do.
