An award-winning father-daughter team make the sky fall an entirely new way.You may already know the tale of a not-quite-so-bright little chicken whose encounter with an acorn and gravity convinces him the sky is falling, but you've never seen the story told this way.

A brilliant collaboration brings us a bold and colorful retelling of the classic tale, as crazy-eyed Chicken and all his panicked friends run away from the sky and right into an eye-catching gatefold surprise.

In Chicken Little, the father - daughter team of Rebecca and Ed Emberley have added new life into an old favorite. The story remains almost the same, but the illustrations take the story in a whole new direction. These illustrations are definitely unusual, but very entertaining.

This is a great book to read out loud with your child. The sound effects like "BONK" and "EEP" will provoke a lot of laughter from your little readers. Your child will also enjoy the names of all of the characters like Foxy Loxy and Turkey Lurky. The book also carries a message that following the crowd can get you into a lot of trouble, a message that is particularly important for three year-olds.

I read this story with my niece Emily and she could not get enough of the goofball antics of all of the characters. She couldn't believe how silly the birds were acting and thought that the illustrations were really funny. After we read the book, we spent an hour coloring, and she had a lot of fun drawing some of the animals from the book in her own way. The book is very creative which inspired a lot of creativity in Emily.
