These classic teddy bears breathe fresh life into well-loved rhymes. Humorous, sophisticated photographs and candy-box colored backgrounds give this extra-generous, oversized board book a classic appeal for those little teddy bear lovers.

Does your little one have a favorite teddy bear? Can it touch its toes and hop around when it's happy? The bears in Clap Your Hands do! This large board book portrays real teddy bears wiggling around to the tune of "If You're Happy and you Know it." Each two-page spread has a new motion for the bears (and readers) to do if they are happy. The new motion is emphasized in a larger, bolded font. The pictures are photographs of stuffed animals against an all-white background. The bears come in all different shapes, sized, and colors, so you little one is bound to find one that looks familiar in some way.

If you're daring enough to sing the book, it will be all the more enjoyable and fun for your child. You can make it interactive by performing the motions described on each page, or helping your child perform them as well. All the usuals, like 'touch your toes' and 'turn around' are there - but there's also some new creative ones, like "flap your arms" and "Say I am!" While you're reading and flapping around, your little one may want to hold the book in their lap, flip through the board pages, or touch the bears that all appear very textured. The end - a hodgepodge of all the bears doing all the motions in one silly dance across the pages - is sure to get some smiles and giggles!

I was almost out of breath after reading this to my one-year-old friend, Dano, as I put my best effort into dancing around with him and having us both perform all of the moves. Dano was great at the clapping, and so good at the giggling that I decided to add it - If you're happy and you know giggle giggle! This is a book I'm sure we'll come back to many times.
