The youngest fans of Corduroy, one of the best-loved children's book characters for over forty years, will delight in this simple, sturdy board book. Corduroy's Day takes young children through a day in the life of Corduroy, counting from one to ten.

Lisa McCue's Corduroy's Day chronicles the adventures of the famous little brown bear as he eats delicious food, has picnics, and plays with his toys. Corduroy has been a favorite children's character that has been charming children for over 40 years. In this particular book, Corduroy is teaching counting in common situations and locations. All of the animals in the book are drawn with calming and sweet expressions, which will be soothing to you child.

The book is very interactive because you can count the different objects by pointing to them. All of the items will be familiar, so it won't overwhelm your little one. The friendly bear is also sweet and approachable and will make your young child want to follow him on his journey. The book also ends with Corduroy going to sleep, so this is a great selection when winding down for a nap or bedtime.

I used to read this book with my nephew Joshua when he was just learning to count. He giggled when he saw Corduroy and was always very attentive throughout the story. As I pointed to different objects, he started to count along with me. Not only was this book a great teaching tool, but it was also a lot of fun.
