This delightful addition to the Dora series teaches kids about counting and includes an introduction to some Spanish words. The story focuses on counting fruit, but there is a bit of a twist. Each page has a number and the name of the fruit in English and in Spanish. Included is a handy pronunciation helper, so that non-Spanish speakers can follow along easily.
Your child will love the challenge of learning new words in two different languages while polishing their counting skills. The heavy board book pages will withstand damage from toddler hands, and your child will love to flip through the vibrant pages. This is a fun book to read together because it encourages a lot of pointing and object identification.
This book has gotten my sister through a lot of driving trips with my nieces. Emily and Audrey love all things Dora. But this book, in particular, really gets them excited, since there are so many pictures of objects and characters that they recognize. Learning words in a different language is also very exciting for them. Since they are developing their language skills at such an early age, those words will stick with them throughout their lives.
