Will Hillenbrand's Down By The Station takes a hilarious look at what happens when no one is in charge at the zoo. It is full of silly animals and crazy trains, and contains rhythmic text and beautifully detailed illustrations. It also includes the notes of the song on the final page so that you can figure out the tune, if you're so inclined.

This large hardcover format is perfect for engaging your child with the illustrations. The illustrations are full of bright, vibrant colors and characters with friendly smiles, which your child will find very charming. There is also a lot of repetition and rhyming, keeping the book interesting for readers with shorter attention spans.

I read this with my nephew Joshua who loves when the story is energetic and silly. He thought it was very funny that the animals were riding on the train. He then started singing along and dancing around. We had a lot of fun reading the book together, and it was a great way to have some fun in the middle of the afternoon.
