This adorable board book will encourage small babies to begin exploring their body parts.
Just like the popular children's song of the same name, this book helps babies and toddlers learn the names of body parts. Young ones will find the colorful illustrations of adorable babies to be helpful in following along as each infant acts out a certain part of the song; while one baby touches his head, another reaches for her toes. Cute stuffed animals, including a bunny and a pig, add to the childhood environment and enhance the story by also following the song commands.
This is a story that can either be read or sung, depending on your child's preference. Encourage your toddler to find the given body parts or help your baby learn by moving their hands in time with the story. Older kids will have a blast dancing along with the lyrics and you can increase the fun by varying the speed of the book. To really get the giggles flowing, read or sing as fast as your child can keep up.
I remember this song from when I was little and I always enjoyed it. That seems to still be the case with Emily, the three-year-old I babysit. She's a couple years older than the books target age group but she still loved the song. As a fan of baby dolls, she also enjoyed seeing the illustrations of the babies and thought they were adorable.
