Learn association and variation with In the Town All Year ‘Round. This extra large book contains more than 30 pages of colorful, busy scenes reminiscent of "Where's Waldo." All pages are filled with color and activity, and are organized by season. There is a winter, spring, fall, and summer section containing different scenes you may possibly find around town in those seasons. At the beginning of each season section, there is a page of people and animals to look for throughout the proceeding scenes. You look for the same characters on each page; expect them to be in slightly different positions to make it more challenging! This requires readers to truly understand what they are looking for.
This book can be enjoyed for minutes or hours, looking for all the matches on a single page, or finding just a few matches on several different pages. The only words are the seasons at the beginning of the section, and the signs, such as store fronts within the pictures, so your little one can associate the word with the activity or object. This is a book your child can grow with and will take years to lose interest in, as every time they pick it up there is more to see in the pictures!
I started looking through this book with my niece when she was three. At first, I found most of the matches and would point them out, but now she has many of them memorized and has started finding others on her own. Sometimes, she just sits in my lap and we pick a page to look at together and see all that is going on. It seems we always find something new each time.
