A gorgeously composed bedtime story that captures the prairies at dusk featuring a unique collection of English and French lullabies, some contemporary and others traditional. Sweet and beautiful songs that will make the little ones dream until dawn.
This award-winning album will gently guide your child to bed with soft melodies about the prairie at night. Connie Kaldor and Carmen Campagne are excellent musicians for the task, each of them long time folk musicians from Canada; they have soft voices and an ability to musically illustrate the intricate goings-on of a prairie at sundown. Their depiction will speak to your child's sleepy imagination and carry them into a restful sleep with the potential for prairie-style dreaming. The sounds are quiet and light like soaring like birds and crickets.
This collection has both English and French tracks that will soothe and calm your child when it is time to say good night. The slow rhythm of the songs and soft tones of the voices slow the pace of the world as they sing prairie lullabies. The French tracks are a bit more upbeat, but still very sweet on the ears. This music will help your child to unwind from their day. It will reset the tone from go-go-go to tranquil appreciation. Cuddle up in a rocking chair for a few minutes before you say goodnight, or leave it playing on low when you leave your child's room. This recording will leave its listeners feeling at ease and dreamy.
I had all three of the children that I nanny for - Teo, Willa, and Lucca - and the day had been chaotic and stressful. We had appointments in different neighborhoods, extra time in the car, and most of the day had been rushed. When it was all over and we were driving home, I popped this CD in and the mood instantly changed to calm and peaceful. It was nearing naptime and the kids were more than ready to close their eyes and dream a little. Lullaby Berceuse turned the dial from chaotic to restful and easy, and the evening went a great deal more smoothly.
