This joyfully illustrated story will win the affection of your little one. The book focuses on every toddler's favorite game: peekaboo. It has calming illustrations and repetitive text, and you child will delight in reading it over and over again.
The main character is smiley and adorable, and your little one will be affected by the sheer fun that jumps off each page. The images of home and family will be familiar to your child. The repetition of peekaboo will have your child playing along and recognizing the recurring pattern.
My nephew Joshua enjoys this book a lot, since it focuses on one of his favorite activities. After reading this book with him, the rest of the day is inevitably devoted to playing peekaboo with everyone he encounters. This includes his beloved dog, Indy. There is nothing cuter than seeing Joshua place his hands over Indy's eyes, pulling them back quickly, and yelling peekaboo. Indy is understandably confused but patient, and Joshua loves every minute.

I love this book because you do not see many books offered for African American children and wanted to check it out. This book is geared towards 1 year olds and up. This book has vibrant colors and nice sturdy pages. It is a simple book with words that your young one can pick up on easy. This book is not only a book, but you could turn it into an activity as well. Make a game out of it, you will be sure to get giggles and smiles out of your little one.
