A.A. Milne's lovable stuffed-with-fluff bear and his group of equally-huggable friends are back after 80 years in a new set of adventures. While some Winnie the Pooh stories have been adapted for young children, this collection - reminiscent of the original chapter books - is better suited to children who have the patience for more wordy tales. Kids will love seeing the familiar faces and learning about their new adventures, from Pooh searching for honey to Tigger dreaming of Africa. Nearly each page contains an illustration, which helps to break up the text and give kids a glimpse at their favorite characters.
At 200 pages, this is definitely a story to read in chapters to your child before bedtime. The stories are often humorous and always adorable. If your child is a Winnie the Pooh and friends fan, this will be a great anthology for them. Plus, loyal followers of Winnie the Pooh will meet a new character with a slightly egotistical charm, Lottie the Otter, who they will love to add to their list of Hundred Acre friends.
As a person who grew up on Winnie the Pooh, I found this collection to be a wonderful addition to the classic stories. Kids of all ages, even those that are purely a child at heart, will appreciate the humor and warmth of the book. I shared this story with Ava, a five-year-old that I babysit, and she grabbed her Winnie the Pooh stuffed animal to snuggle up and listen to the stories.

Both of my boys are huge Winne the Pooh fans and were really excited to get this book. We decided it was one we were going to read together each day and possibly before bed at night. When the book came the boys wanted to sit down and read it right away. Aidan had just came home from school and right away started reading it to his brother. The first thing I noticed about this book was the pictures in it are so beautiful! Aidan is loving this book and Logan is loving sitting with him listening to him read.
