Sesame Street: 123 Count with Me
Sesame Street: 123 Count with Me
by Warner

Count on Ernie to make learning the numbers a musical treat! Today, he's stopping by The Furry Arms to show how easy and useful learning to count can be. Adding to the fun, Elmo and, of course, The Count help out with musical numbers of their own. Soon everyone agrees: whether it's 3 frisky puppies, 6 hungry pigeons, or 15 stampeding elephants, counting is as easy as 1 2 3!

Sesame Street just celebrated its 40th Anniversary, and it is truly incredible that the show has remained so fresh and vibrant over its many years. This video includes nine different music videos from the show's archives. It demonstrates how Sesame Street has set itself apart in the world of educational programming.

Each section of the video focuses on counting, and the whole cast of Sesame Street characters is involved in teaching these lessons. Your child will love to see their favorite characters singing and dancing their way through each counting lesson. There is a lot of humor involved in the episodes as well, so your child may want to watch it again and again. Also, the video is short, so younger children will not get distracted while watching the show.

This DVD was a huge success with my niece, Audrey, because her favorite character, The Count, is prominently featured. In his music video called "Counting Vacation", he counts all of the things that he sees on a tropical beach. After we were done watching, we practiced counting different items in Audrey's living room. The lessons learned in the video are extremely valuable, practical, and a lot of fun.
