Elmo remembers some of his favorite times with friends on Sesame Street in this fun-filled collection of Elmo highlights. Elmo sings about numbers with Diane Sawyer, rhymes with Adam Sandler, recites the alphabet with India Arie, and counts to four with Feist. Ray Charles teaches Elmo how to believe in himself; "You can be what you want to be, see what you want to see, believe in yourself." David Beckham teaches viewers about persistence, while Elmo demonstrates it by persistently asking David to play soccer with him. The Goo Goo Dolls sing to Elmo about pride, Destiny's Child takes him for a walk, and Jack Black makes Elmo laugh with his silly disguises. You can even surprise your little one and be the cool parent by singing along with Jason Mraz's hit song, "I'm Yours," which is slightly changed to encourage kids to play outside, "I will not stay in inside no more. Let's go outdoors!" The video has many smaller segments (each of Elmo's memories), so it's easy to start and stop, or watch the whole thing through, depending on your little one's attention span. If they are feeling silly and active, this is a very easy video to interact with. The songs are repetitive and have catchy tunes, inviting children to join in and sing along. Elmo often encourages viewers to join him in whatever he's doing. For example, Elmo and his new robot friend teach viewers step-by-step (through song) how to 'do the robot dance'. Elmo also teaches his robot friend what 'silly' means and encourages viewers to each make a silly face at home. Be prepared for your child to make you laugh! My three year-old friend Sam said this is his new favorite video. Although Sam is mainly a Big Bird guy, he was quickly won over by all the fun Elmo was having. It was even Elmo's adventure and song riding his tricycle in the park that encouraged Sam enough to give his own tricycle a chance.
