Elmo and friends learn all about the four seasons and the wonderful attributes of each - particularly rainbows, which may be most common in the Spring, but could happen in any season! Learn where rainbows come from, the order of colors, and even how to make your own rainbow!

Your little one can learn the fun things nature has to offer through three skits in this educational video. Elmo tries to help Rosita see her first rainbow, and when there isn't one in the sky, everyone pitches in and tries to create one. They color one on paper, create one with science, and even try to make one appear with magic! Through all of these attempts, Elmo and Rosita learn the order of the colors in a rainbow, and where a rainbow really comes from.  In the second episode, Abby accidentally turns Baby Bear and Chris into honeybees when she is trying to grant Baby Bear's wish of not being afraid of bees anymore. After spending the afternoon learning how hard bees work and all the useful things they do, Baby Bear decides he isn't afraid of bees at all - he actually likes them! The third episode is about the four seasons, and how to recognize each season's signs in nature.

Like all Sesame Street episodes, your little one will be encouraged to join in the fun and learn something new.  After watching the rainbow episode, and learning Lita's acronym of ROYGBIV (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet) for the rainbow colors, it would be fun to get some crayons or colored pencils and create your own rainbows with your child. You can help them do the science experiment where Gordon demonstrates with a flashlight, white paper, and a cup of water. Your little one's face will light up when you create a rainbow in your own home! You can also spend some time after the second episode explaining the main message; Baby Bear was only afraid of bees because he didn't know much about them - he just assumed they would sting him. After learning all that they do, and that they won't sting him if he leaves them alone, he is not afraid any more! What is your little one afraid of? How can you help them learn more about it to soothe those fears?

My two year-old friend Dano had a great time interacting with the third episode. He repeated the name of each season after it was described, and laughed at the jokes like when the soup was accidentally dropped in a man's lap, or the face Chris made when the season suddenly changed to winter. It was very rewarding to see Dano understanding and learning with Elmo.
