Curious toddlers will love this book for its bright colors and simple lessons about basic concepts like numbers, shapes and colors. It's a great educational tool for introducing kids to a variety of child-related vocabulary words, including body parts and animals. The sturdy board book format allows little ones to handle the book on their own without fear of tears. Colorful, child friendly illustrations will draw your child in and make them want to look at the book over and over again.
Kids will love interacting with this book and showing off what they've learned. Many of the objects will be easy to recognize, such as the banana and peas on the mealtime page, or the apple and grapes on the fruit colors page. You can teach your child about shapes and colors, or flip to the different seasons section, and ask your child what they like to do at different times of the year. There are plenty of chances to learn what your child thinks about a wide range of topics.
This book will be great at helping curious young children name the various parts of their bodies. I shared this story with my friend's son, Tyler, who located the mouth on the baby in the drawing and then on himself. This is also a great book to use in any discussion of feelings. The pages devoted to various emotions are wonderfully illustrated and the two-to-three-year-olds I babysit think its fun to compare their own feelings to the ones in the book.
