Living in such Shushybye villages as Nap Valley, Snore Shore, Yawn Island and Slumber Heights, the Shushies led by Snoozles Dozie and Zeez make dreams for children, then place their finished dreams in Dream Boxes which are delivered by Conductor McCloud and the Shushybye Train to children as they fall asleep. Besides creating childrens nightly dreams together with his Shushie friends Dozie and Zeez,Snoozles also serves as the Dream Ambassador for the preschool set, sharing with children just how wonderful sleep-time can really be.

Established in January 2004, The Shushybye Company developed and launched Shushybye to inspire children to look forward to sleep time during the day, and to help parents prepare their preschoolers for sleep at night.

Music also plays an important role in making Shushybye a day-long shared parent-child experience. Each original song is especially composed to combine 'classic rock'-style music that parents will enjoy with preschooler-friendly lyrics that always emphasize how fun sleep can be. A nighttime ritual is oftentimes the ideal sleep preparation solution for preschoolers.

The music of The Shushybyes has won numerous prestigious awards and received substantial acclaim from media, parents and grandparents and - most importantly - from children. Shushybye creator and songwriter Steve Syatt has written scores of wonderful songs that cover the gamut from rock and R&B to Latin, Jazz, Blues and Country. Singer Michael North, backed by a world-class band of musicians, possesses one of the most magnificent voices in children's music.
