Thomas & Friends as a carnival comes to the Island of Sodor! Also, meet new friends, Rocky and Rosie, and follow them as they explore their new surroundings and learn to work as a team with the other engines.
This collection of short Thomas the Tank Engine videos is a great addition for any fan of the little blue train. Not only does the video feature Thomas and many of his friends, it all introduces kids to two new engines, Rosie and Rocky. Kids age three and up will love watching the trains embark on a variety of adventures, including helping the town prepare for a carnival. Many of the segments deal with familiar childhood feelings, such as wanting to be independent, not wanting to let people down and trying to work well together with friends.
Between storylines, fun and interactive games encourage children to play along and test their memory. One game involves showing kids which train shed Gordon, Emily and James are hiding in and then asking them to remember who is in each one. Another game showed kids the outline of one of the trains and asked them to identify who it was based on a set of clues. A few songs also are included in the video collection, which your child will likely enjoy as well.
Emily, the three-year-old I babysit, absolutely loves Thomas the Tank Engine. So much, in fact, that on several occasions she has insisted on being called Thomas or Percy or James or whichever other character she decided to be that day. She's such a big fan that the second the outline of Emily popped up on the screen during the interactive game, she shouted out, "That's Emily!" She didn't even have to wait for a single clue!
