Darkness is falling everywhere and little ones are getting sleepy, feeling cozy, and being tucked in. It's time for a wide yawn, a big hug, and a snuggle under the covers--sleep tight. The soothing repetitive text works beautifully and conveys a warm feeling of safety and affection.

Mem Fox's Time for Bed is an excellent choice if you're looking for a sweet book that will lull your little one to sleep. Each page focuses on sets of animal parents and children from many different species. The book contains very soft illustrations and captures adorable scenes of these little animals getting ready for bed.

Your child will love to see all of these animals engaged in sweet moments with their parents. Your child will love to hear the sound of your voice as you softly read the gentle rhymes on each page. There is quite a bit of repetition included in these rhymes, which effectively reinforces the book's subtle lessons about the different types of animals.

Audrey my 2 year old niece has a poster of this book's cover over her bed. She has such a soft spot for all animals and thinks that sleeping animals are just about the cutest thing in the world. When we read this story together before her bedtime, she pets the head of each animal and says goodnight to them. It makes me so happy to share this book with her and to witness the sincere kindness that she shows to the animals.
