Join Mango the monkey and her friends on a bus trip around town, learning lessons all along the way. This sing-along adventure includes puppets, people, props, and even computer animation. The characters' voices are distinct, fun, and engaging - especially Papaya the parrot and Argon, the green dragon who drives the bus. The group's adventure begins when a zoo director challenges Mango and Papaya to go out into the world and observe how different people practice taking turns. After taking turns getting on the bus (of course!), Mango and Papaya meet up with their friend, Coco, (a young girl) and sing "The Wheels on the Bus" with one verse all in Spanish. Throughout the whole adventure and between verses of the bus song, your child will experience important lessons from Coco such as what 'procrastination' means, various situations about taking turns, practice counting, the names of different bugs, healthy snacks to eat, and the importance of getting along.

The bright colors and multi-media approach will help keep your child's attention. They will also love singing along with the many songs. Can your little one think of something new that can be done on a bus, so you can sing a new verse for them? Can they count the chicks, from one to ten, with everyone else on the bus? It's okay to make a mistake, as they'll learn when the clown on the bus sings "Quack quack quack" for the chicks instead of "Cheep cheep cheep" and the children kindly correct him. Perhaps they will enjoy moving to the funky beat of the song while the children are tuning up the bus. One of the strongest lessons in the movie is the golden rule, treating people the way you would like to be treated. This is demonstrated through Cat and Woof who dislike one another right away, but learn how to get along from four magical fairies who sing, "Hugs and kisses and friendly words are better than hits and shoves. Nothing in this world feels better than giving each other love." Coco's solo in the fairy song says, "You can get just what you need, using words like 'thank you' and 'please'." Singing along with this song may help your child learn and repeat the words.

My two-year-old friend, Kyle's, favorite part was meeting the entomologist on the bus. He perked up when pictures of real bugs started appearing with the name of the bug in bold white letters. Although Kyle cannot read, he has watched this movie enough times that he recognizes all of the bugs and can name them when they appear. His favorites are the preying mantus, caterpillar, and tarantula. This came in handy one afternoon when I found a spider on the wall and was too afraid to touch it (or even go within a few feet of it). Sam walked right up to it and said, "It's just a spider", let it crawl on his hand (ew!) and shook it off outside. I must have washed Sam's hands for five straight minutes, but he was my little hero!
